What exactly does Reset Browser Settings change? Will I lose my data?
Reset Browser Settings puts your browser back to normal by restoring the homepage, new-tab, default search, and reverting extensions, proxy settings, HOSTS entries, and similar policy tweaks—based on the checkboxes you choose.
It does not uninstall your browser or delete personal files.
Your bookmarks and saved passwords aren’t targeted, but if you select Cookies/History, you may be signed out of sites; and in rare cases a damaged profile or the browser’s own reset routine can affect personal data. If you’re concerned, quickly export bookmarks or ensure sync is on before resetting—then reinstall only the extensions you trust.
